It was July 2,2007 .5:15 pm. I was 30 minutes from my terminal in my empty tank truck, 2008 Mack CH600, empty weight is about 37,000 lbs, starting my pm shift. I was driving east on Texas highway 114, 5 miles east of Rhome, Texas. Traffic was very heavy. All of a sudden about 300 feet ahead of me, a Plymouth mini van came into my lane , both of us traveling 65 mph.
Thats what the truck driver behind the mini van said thier speed was. He also said the van never hit the brakes.I locked the brakes and tryed to veer right enough to miss him, but did not have enough room to avoid him.
We impacted on the middle of the shoulder stripe at an equal speed of 130mph. From the time he crossed the center stripe to impact was about 1.5 seconds. I only slid 50ft before imact. The imact was so great that it knocked my windsheild out and the cell phone that was on the dash of my truck was found in the mini van.The driver was dead before the van stopped.
Texas DPS said they believe he was looking through a cd case.I was given a u.a., and returned to work. Morbid as it maybe, people should see what a person looks like after this type of wreck. it might make them a lot more careful. Before this i had a perfect driving record of 18 years . I dont feel sorry for the driver, But i do feel for his wife and three kids. That has got to really tough to celebrate 4TH of July after losing your husband and father/son.
These pictures were taken on 06/14/09. The accident happened on I95 NB @ 124 mile marker in Fredericksburg, Va. The car on fire was a 2000 Volvo that cut off a F650 Rollback and somehow collected a Toyota Camry.
This was my 1st fatal accident I've worked while in the Towing and Recovery business. The scene of the accident was just so surreal. The guy in the Volvo was still in the car when I arrived at the scene. The medical examiner and coroner were there waiting for the car to be separated from the tree and the tow truck so he could be removed.
None of the EMS or any other emergency personnel covered the man's body or anything. It was just a terribly graphic scene that I'll never forget. I towed the Camry that's at the bottom of the bank on it's roof. Both people that were in the Camry walked away! The people in the tow truck involved in the accident also walked away. Hope this brings safety to people driving out there. This is proof that speed kills!

My mom was driving home Tuesday the 20th in Housesprings, Missouri. It was raining very hard that night and was driving like 35 miles per hour when she hit a a patch of water, she hydroplaned and rolled over several times. She suffered back injuries with bruises and cuts,. The air bags didn't deploy. The car landed on its roof and she had to crawl out. She was very lucky for it could have been much worse or deadly.

The car involved is (was) a Eunos 500, made by Mazda (Mazda Eunos 500), and not sold in America, its sort of like a Mazda 626, it was made in the 90's.
So the story is, after midnight on May 8th 2012, I was leaving work on my way home, when a bunch of (I bet drunk) idiots in a Nissan X-Trail started throwing things at my 1996 Mazda Eunos 500 (not sold in America), stones, eggs, stuff like that, and then proceeded to tailgate me and follow me for a few kilometres. I got frightened and the only thing I could think of doing at the time was to flee.
So, stupidly, I put my foot down, and about a kilometre down the road I found myself on someones nature strip with an airbag in my face. I jumped out of my car and was surrounded by bits of what used to be my car, and had no idea what happened. All the residents of the surrounding houses came out and I was taken to hospital with a minor injury from the air-bag. That's it. Later it was found I had spun out on a corner, and slid into 3 small trees, which turned my car, the back end hit a power pole, and then I ended up on the other side of the road. I was doing around 160km/h (100mph). The tough structure of the car, the big motor took most of the brunt, and wearing a seat-belt is what saved my life and I am forever grateful I owned that car.
Lesson learnt: Do not speed, ever! I now live without a car as I can't afford another one, but that is no pain compared to the amount my parents would have endured if I died that night. As you can probably tell, my car was a total write-off, and rather surprisingly I got to keep my license. But I will always miss my car. Speed was the main cause of this accident, regardless of why I was speeding, that was why it happened.

This accident occurred in August 2010 at roughly 3 pm in the afternoon. I was traveling down Highway 41 in Georgia in a 55 mph zone. As I was driving in my 2002 Honda Accord SE a 1992 Ford Ranger pulled right out in front of my car and stalled. You can see from the skid marks I attempted to stop but there was no avoiding the collision. I walked away with only bruises from the seatbelt.
