A video of the aftermath of Paul’s and Roger Rodas’ fatal Nov. 30 car accident, filmed by an onlooker, has surfaced. The shocking footage shows the car smoking and then bursting into flames on the side of the road. Click to view the gallery.
Paul Walker was tragically killed in a violent car accident and subsequent explosion and fire. This heartbreaking new video shows the horrifying and untimely accident.
The video of the accident shows black smoke pouring out of the car, which had already crashed on the side of the road by the time the witness started filming. The car then exploded into bright orange flames which immediately engulfed the vehicle. Debris was scattered all over the road in Santa Clarita, Calif., and passersby stopped to inspect the scene.
“I can’t tell if there is someone in there,” one witness says in the video. Another asks about the proximity of a fire hose nearby and a third says the car “might blow up.”
Paul Walker Autopsy Delayed, Body Unidentifiable
Paul and Roger Rodas, 38, took a 2005 Porsche Carrera GT for a drive during a fundraising event for the Philippines held by Paul’s foundation, Reach Out Worldwide, and Paul said they would be back in five minutes. During the drive, Roger, who was behind the wheel, may have lost control of the car and struck several trees.
“[The car] was engulfed in flames,” eyewitness and friend Antonio Holmes said. “There was nothing. They were trapped. Employees, friends of the shop. We tried. We tried.”
Paul and Roger, Paul’s friend and the CEO of Always Evolving, were both pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. Paul was reportedly unable to escape the Porsche as it violently burst into flames. As a result, the 40-year-old actor’s body was rendered nearly unidentifiable, according to TMZ. Roger’s body is reportedly also unrecognizable.
It’s just heartbreaking to have lost two young men so suddenly, and to see the severity of the accident in the video only makes things worse.

Tracy Morgan was in a horrific 6-vehicle accident early Saturday morning in New Jersey and is now fighting for his life.
Morgan was riding in a limo bus on the NJ Turnpike after a concert ... when it was rear-ended by a tractor-trailer -- at least that's the way it now appears. Tracy's limo overturned in the wreck.
One person in the limo was killed, and three others are in critical condition, including the former star of "SNL" and "30 Rock."
Police say 2 tractor-trailers, 2 cars, an SUV and the limo bus were involved in the chain collision -- and, at this point, they do not believe alcohol was a factor in the crash.
Tracy had a standup gig Friday night in Delaware and was on his way home when the accident happened.
Another comedian was riding with Tracy last night -- Ardie Fuqua was the opening act in Delaware. Ardie tweeted pics of Tracy on stage and of himself standing next to the bus. In a Facebook post he wrote, "We traveled back to NYC in style in a luxury Mercedes Sprinter. Road life is a good life!"
That was posted roughly 30 minutes before the accident. According to reports, Fuqua is also in critical condition.
The single fatality was a 63-year-old named James McNair.
Tracy's rep says the comedian's family is with him now and he's currently receiving "excellent care." Doctors don't anticipate a change today to his current condition.

• Wednesday – 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. (663);
• Thursday – 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. (680);
• Friday – 9 p.m. to midnight (892); and
• Saturday – midnight to 3 a.m. (1,024).
Clearly, the later hours of the weekend prove to be the deadliest. Late afternoon to evening tend to be the riskiest times for driving during the week.
Statistics also show that during the week, most fatal accidents occurred between 5:00 and 5:59 p.m. During the weekend, it was between 2:00 and 2:59 a.m.
Alcohol-Related Fatal Car Accident Statistics: Time of Day
NHTSA reported that in 2009, the highest incidence of fatal crashes involving impairment occurred between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. (4,988). Surprisingly, the second-deadliest time period for alcohol-related fatalities occurred between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. (4,944).
When it comes to the percentage of impaired drivers involved in a fatal crash, 55 percent took place between midnight and 3 a.m., and 42 percent between 3 a.m. and 6 a.m. The smallest percentage was 5 percent between 9 a.m. and noon.
